PORT CHARLOTTE BUILDING SELLS FOR $6.2M

The medical building housing Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Port Charlotte sold for $6.2 million May 8, but FCS will remain a long-term tenant at the location, officials said. 

Adam J. Tiktin and Sylvia Tiktin of United Capital sold the property under the entity Deland Is My Land LLC to Maple Street Management. The company acquired the building in December 2023 through a 1031 Exchange for $4.89 million. 

A 1031 exchange is a common tax deferment option available to real estate investors. 

The Port Charlotte location is part of a network of nearly 100 FCS facilities. Its 12,400-square-foot building sits on 2.8 acres at 22395 Edgewater Drive. 

United Capital owns and operates a portfolio of single and multitenant retail, medical office, health care and educational related properties throughout Florida. 

FCS is one of the largest medical oncology and hematology practices in the U.S.
